Unit PoE CAM

SKU:U121

Description

Unit PoE CAM is an open-source programmable network camera integrated with PoE (Power Over Ethernet) functionality. The hardware adopts the ESP32 control core + W5500 embedded Ethernet controller + 2M pixel image sensor OV2640 solution, paired with a large memory combination of 8MB PSRAM + 16MB Flash.

The camera is compact in size and flexible in power supply. With just two steps of connecting the network cable, stable image transmission can be achieved, making it very suitable for applications such as warehouse monitoring and timed image capture. Its features are as follows:

  • Plug and Play:
    • Automatically obtains an IP address after connecting to the network cable, allowing any device on the same local network to access the camera's image.
    • The factory software includes image transmission firmware, providing not only image data acquisition but also interfaces for adjusting image parameters (such as white balance, exposure, gain, size, etc.).
    • Comes with a PC-side host software CameraTool and supports UART image transmission.
  • Rich Features:
    • Embedded ESP32 with a reserved program burning interface, supporting secondary development.
    • W5500 embedded Ethernet controller supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE protocols.
    • Supports output of various image data formats and allows adjustment of image parameters.
  • High Flexibility:
    • Supports PoE power supply, combining network cable and power supply into one for simpler wiring; also supports 5V power supply.
    • Equipped with a GROVE expansion interface.
    • Comes with a camera mounting clip, supporting both wall mounting and ceiling installation.

Note:
1. PoECAM requires an external ESP32 programmer to download programs. You can click here to purchase the official M5 ESP32-Downloader kit, which includes an adapter board for easier connection
2. The factory firmware of PoECAM will automatically obtain an IP address and start a web server after connecting to a switch. By checking the serial output of PoECAM, you can get the IP address and image stream URL. Accessing this URL with a browser on the same local network allows real-time image preview.
