Unit PIR is a high-performance passive pyroelectric infrared (PIR) detector. It integrates the BISS0001 signal processing chip and adopts pyroelectric infrared sensing technology to determine motion by detecting changes in infrared radiation emitted by the human body or objects. This unit communicates via a Grove HY2.0-4P interface. When an infrared signal is detected, it outputs a high-level signal and features a 2-second delay along with a repeatable trigger mechanism (continuous detection after triggering will extend the high-level duration). It provides a detection distance of 500cm and a wide-angle sensing range of < 100°. With a LEGO-compatible hole design, it can be flexibly mounted to LEGO structures or fixed using screws. It is suitable for various motion-detection applications such as human-sensing lighting, security alarms, and smart home automatic control.
