Echo Pyramid Bluetooth Speaker Tutorial

This tutorial introduces how to use Atom-Matrix with the Echo Pyramid development base to burn the Echo Pyramid Bluetooth speaker firmware using M5Burner.

1. Preparation

  1. Depending on your operating system, click the button below to download the corresponding M5Burner firmware burning tool and extract the application.
Software Version Download Link
M5Burner_Windows Download
M5Burner_MacOS Download
M5Burner_Linux Download
  1. Install USB Driver

Connect the device to your PC and open the Device Manager to install the FTDI Driver for the device. Taking the Windows 10 environment as an example, download the driver file that matches your operating system, extract it, and install it through the Device Manager. (Note: In some system environments, the driver may need to be installed twice to take effect. Unrecognized device names are usually M5Stack or USB Serial. For Windows, it is recommended to install directly via the driver file in the Device Manager (manual update); the executable installation method might not work correctly). Click here to download the FTDI Driver

For MacOS Users
Before installation, please check "System Preferences" -> "Security & Privacy" -> "General" -> "Allow apps downloaded from:" -> "App Store and identified developers".

2. Download Firmware

  1. Double-click to open the Burner tool, select the device type ATOM in the left menu, and click Download to download the Echo Pyramid Bluetooth Speaker firmware.
  1. Connect the Atom-Matrix to the computer via a USB cable. Once connected, the software will pop up Found New Device to indicate a successful connection. The screen will not display content as it enters programming mode.
  2. Click the Burn button for the Echo Pyramid Bluetooth Speaker firmware, select the corresponding device port, and click Start to begin burning the firmware.
Baud Rate Limit
When downloading the device program, it is recommended to select from the following serial baud rate options. Using other speeds may result in the program failing to download properly.
1500000 bps / 750000 bps / 500000 bps / 250000 bps / 115200 bps

When "Burn successful, click here to return" appears, the burning process is complete.

3. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Power the Echo Pyramid through the USB port at the bottom of the device.

  2. After powering on the device, search for the Bluetooth device EchoPyramid-xxxx on your phone and connect. Once connected, you can start using the Echo Pyramid Bluetooth speaker.
