1. UiFlow2 Firmware Flashing

  1. Connect CoreMatrix to the computer using a USB Type-C cable.

  2. Open the CoreMatrix UiFlow2 firmware page on the M5Burner website, then click Burn to device in the interface to start flashing the UiFlow2 firmware.

  1. In the pop-up window, select the baud rate for serial communication, then click Select COM.
  1. Select the device's port, then click Connect.

When the interface displays Connected to xxx, the port is connected successfully.

  1. Click Burn, then click Start in the pop-up window.
  1. Fill in the Wi-Fi configuration for the device, including the Wi-Fi SSID, Wi-Fi Password, and any other device settings that need to be added or modified, then click Next.

When Burn successfully is displayed, flashing is successful. Please reset the device at this point.

Forced Download Mode
If flashing fails, press and hold the device's power button to force it into download mode.

2. Device Connection

CoreMatrix supports connecting to UiFlow2 via Access Code (wireless network) or USB (wired connection to a computer) to push and debug programs. Refer to the following tutorial:

Access Code Wireless Connection

  1. Visit uiflow2.m5stack.com to open the UiFlow2 Web IDE. Click the WebTerminal button, select the serial port for CoreMatrix in the dialog, and click Connect. Confirm in the serial monitor that the device is connected to the network. If the connection fails, check whether the Wi-Fi name and password entered during firmware flashing are correct, then modify them through the Configuration option on the WebBurner and flash again.
  1. Check the currently generated valid Access Code in the WebTerminal serial monitor. If the information is not displayed, click Soft Reset to perform a soft reboot.
  1. Click Select Your Controller on the page (shown on first visit) or the Controller button to enter the Select Device page.
  1. Click Connect Device, enter the access code and a custom device name, then click Confirm to connect CoreMatrix to UiFlow2.
Access Code Description
1. Changing browsers, using private / incognito mode, or clearing the UiFlow2 website cache will invalidate the original pairing state.
2. Closing only the tab, restarting the browser, logging in, or logging out will not affect an established pairing relationship.
3. Once the device is paired by another browser, the original browser's pairing relationship becomes invalid immediately.
  1. On the Select Device page, select the connected CoreMatrix device, then click Confirm to enter the UiFlow2 programming interface.

USB Wired Connection

  1. Visit uiflow2.m5stack.com to open the UiFlow2 Web IDE, and connect CoreMatrix to the computer using a USB Type-C cable.
  2. Click Select Your Controller on the page (shown on first visit) or the Controller button to enter the Select Device page.
  1. Select the CoreMatrix device in the device list, then click Confirm.
  1. Click the WebTerminal button, select the serial port for CoreMatrix in the dialog, and click Connect.

When the WebTerminal screen displays Connected to Serial Port!, the USB connection is successful.

3. Program Run and Download

After the device is connected to UiFlow2, you can drag Blockly blocks to edit programs.

After editing the program, click the Run Once button in the lower-right corner to run the program once for testing. Click Run Always to download the program to the device.

You can also run once or download the program in the WebTerminal window.
