CoreS3 ESP-Claw Firmware Flashing

This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide to flashing the ESP-Claw firmware onto the CoreS3, enabling users to quickly configure their CoreS3 as an intelligent terminal capable of AI interaction, hardware programming, and automation control.

1. Preparation

Download the M5Burner firmware flashing tool for your operating system using the button below, then extract and launch the application.

2. Firmware Flashing

  1. Double-click to open the M5Burner tool. Select CORES3 from the left-side menu, then click Download to download the ESP-Claw firmware for CoreS3.
  1. Connect the CoreS3 via USB cable and hold down the reset button on the side of the device. When the internal green LED begins to flash, the device has successfully entered download mode and is ready for flashing.
  1. Click Burn, select the corresponding port for your device, click Start, and wait for the flashing process to complete.

3. Device Configuration

  1. Reboot the device. After startup, it will prompt you to connect to an AP hotspot. Connect your phone or computer to the hotspot esp-claw-xxx, then navigate to 192.168.4.1 to access the device configuration page.
  1. Under the WI-FI SETTINGS section, enter your Wi-Fi name and password, then select a model provider and enter the corresponding API Key.

1. For detailed Web configuration and onboarding instructions, refer to the ESP‑Claw Official Tutorial.
2. When using Alibaba Cloud model services, real-name verification of your Alibaba Cloud account is required.
  1. Configure the ClawBot chat interface, such as QQ.
  1. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to save the configuration.
  1. Reboot the CoreS3 device. Configuration is now complete.

Once configured, ESP-Claw can be used to perform a wide range of tasks including hardware programming, automation control, and local AI inference.

Example: ESP-Claw supports integration with instant messaging platforms such as QQ, allowing users to send commands just like chatting with a regular contact.
